Checking power supply to the adapter box

• Ignition on.
• Volvo Scan Tool (ST) connected to the data link connector (DLC).
• Disconnect the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) wiring at the adapter box.

  Connect a voltmeter between ground and 25-pin connector terminals:

  • 15 (to data link connector (DLC))
  • 20 (to data link connector (DLC))
  • 21 (to data link connector (DLC))
  • 22 (to data link connector (DLC))

The voltmeter should read battery voltage in all readings. 

• OK 

  Refer to Checking power ground to the adapter box 

• NOT OK 

  Refer to Try with new wiring to the Volvo Scan Tool (ST)
