Checking power ground to the adapter box

• Ignition off.
• Volvo Scan Tool (ST) wiring connected to the data link connector (DLC).
• Wiring disconnected from the adapter box.

  Connect a voltmeter between ground and the 25-pin connector terminals:

  • 23 (to data link connector (DLC))
  • 24 (to data link connector (DLC))
  • 25 (to data link connector (DLC))

The ohmmeter should read 0 Ω in all readings. 

• OK 

  Refer to Checking power supply to Volvo Scan Tool (ST) 

• NOT OK 

  Refer to Try with new wiring to the Volvo Scan Tool (ST)
