Evaporator Temperature, Value (Electronic Climate Control, Manual Climate Control)

Measurement range: -40 - 85°C

The climate control module (CCM) calculates the temperature based on the signal from the evaporator temperature sensor.

The value is used to control the air conditioning (A/C) compressor.

In normal operation (engine running and A/C selected) the control module can regulate the compressor in the following way:

• 10°C air conditioning (A/C) compressor on
• 6.5°C air conditioning (A/C) compressor off.

At temperatures below 6°C the compressor is not permitted to operate because of the risk of freezing.
