Rear wheel hub, replacing: Installation

Installing the hub

Install:

the hub to the wheel spindle
Use new screws. Tighten. See Tightening torque .
the wheel sensor (M6). Tighten. See Tightening torque .

Removing the tensioner

Remove the tensioner. See Tensioner 999 5659, User instructions .

Installing the brake disc and brake calliper

Install:

the brake disc
the brake disc locating pin/screw (M6). Tighten. See Tightening torque .
the brake caliper
the brake calliper mounting screws.
Use new screws. Tighten. See Tightening torque .
the wheel sensor cable to the retainer on the brake hose.

Installing the rear wheel

Install the rear wheel. See Installing wheels .

NOTE: For tightening torques, see Tightening torque or Tightening torque .

Installation of hub and drive shaft

Install:

the hub on the stub axle and drive shaft.
Use new screws. Tighten. See Summary of tightening torques for specific components
a new screw loosely on the drive shaft. The screw will be tightened later
the wheel sensor M6, tighten according to Tightening torque .

Removing the tensioner

Remove tensioner according to Tensioner 999 5659, User instructions .

Installing the brake disc and brake calliper

Install:

the brake disc
brake disc guide pin/screw M6, tighten according to Tightening torque
the brake caliper
the brake calliper mounting screws.
Use new screws. Tighten. See Summary of specific components and tightening torques
the wheel sensor lead to the holder on the brake hose.

Fitting the rear wheel

Install the screw, M10 to the drive shaft. Use a new screw. Tighten.

Fit the rear wheel according to Installing wheels

NOTE: For tightening torques, see Tightening torque or Tightening torque .

brake disc guide pin/screw M6, tighten according to Tightening torque
the brake caliper

Use new screws. Tighten. See Summary of specific components and tightening torques
the wheel sensor lead to the holder on the brake hose.

Fitting the rear wheel

Install the screw, M10 to the drive shaft. Use a new screw. Tighten.

Fit the rear wheel according to Installing wheels
