NOTE:

Oil grade: Only automatic transmission fluid (ATF). Dexron III (the fluid must have a G license)*.

*This is usually given as "Dexron III (G-xxxxx)" where xxxxx is a 5 digit serial number. "Dexron III-G" (without a number) may also occur. Dexron II D and II E must not  be used.

Use a funnel with a plastic hose. Fill through the dipstick pipe.

Measure the amount of oil that was drained. Fill with the same amount of new oil.

Start the engine. Move the gear selector through all the gear positions. Position the selector in position P and allow the transmission to reach operating temperature (80°C).

Check the level.

Test drive the car

Use the test driving schedule, see Test Drive Form, description .

NOTE:

After replacing the transmission, the transmission adaptation and the "Transmission oil change" counters must be reset. See Resetting the adaptation .
