Fault-Tracing Information

Check that the settings (volume, fade, balance, centre volume or effect volume) are not causing the fault symptom.

Check the sound reproduction from several sources (radio, CD or cassette playing).

Check that all connectors are correctly connected to the audio unit and amplifier.

Check that the loudspeakers are not broken.

Was a fault detected? 



To carry out correct fault-tracing, select one of the following options:

  1. No or poor sound generated from the center loud speaker. Refer to Checking the Component And Cable .
  2. No or poor sound reproduction from one or a number of the car loudspeakers. Refer to Fault-Tracing Information 


To carry out correct fault-tracing, select one of the following options:

  1. The car is equipped with an external amplifier. Refer to Checking the Cable .
  2. The car is not equipped with an external amplifier. Refer to Checking the Cable .
