Checking components and wiring

HINT: If the cable and the combined instrument panel are fault free the voltage between terminals #1 and #2 on the outside temperature sensor connector must be approximately 5 V.

Check the connector for the outside temperature sensor. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.

Check the signal cable between combined instrument panel terminal #A19 (#49) and outside temperature sensor terminal #1. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check for an open-circuit.

Check the signal cable between combined instrument panel terminal #A12 (#42) and outside temperature sensor terminal #2. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check for an open-circuit.

Remedy as necessary.
