Water Leak, Check
Properly adjust the rear doors and tailgate/trunk.
Look for water leaks by spraying water onto the rear bumper and around the openings for the rear doors and tailgate/trunk. Check inside to see if any water penetrated through the rubber seal.
If water has penetrated through the rubber seal, see Rubber seal, check before installing .
If no water has penetrated through the rubber seal, see below.
Keep the tailgate/trunk lid closed.
Remove the interior side panels. Spray water on the rear bumper and around the openings for the rear doors and tailgate/trunk. Check to see if any water penetrated into the vehicle.
Continue following Seals, drainage channels and seams, check (V40) or Rear window glue seam, check (S40 (-04)) .
