Precautions for when replacing components

Observe the following when working on the combined instrument panel:

Cleanliness: the worksite must be free of dust, dirt, oil, solvent, etc.

• Always wash your hands before disassembling the combined instrument panel. Do not use hand cream or lotion after washing. Use thin cotton protective gloves. Synthetic materials can cause static electricity.
• The wiring plate must not be subjected to static electricity.
• Do not touch connection plate or dial surfaces.
• Do not touch the instrument needles. They are factory calibrated. If the needles are moved the instrument may display the wrong reading.
