Component Location Overview - Seals

Transmission
Right Seal
- Replace for FWD vehicles. Refer to RIGHT GASKET, REPLACING, FWD VEHICLES .
- Replace the large seal on the right side for AWD vehicles. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING, AWD VEHICLES
Right Small Seal
- Replace for AWD vehicles. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING, AWD VEHICLES .
Seal
- For the selector shaft
- Replacing. Refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
Right Stub Shaft
- For AWD vehicles
Needle Bearing (Polygon Bearing)
- If it is difficult to move when the right stub shaft is removed, this is not an indication of a fault
- Acoustic test only when installed
- Check for damage, for example for cracks on the bearing outer race
- Replacing. Refer to STUB SHAFT NEEDLE BEARING (POLYGON BEARING), REPLACING .
Seal
- For the stub shaft on the right side of the bevel box
- Replacing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL ON BEVEL BOX, REPLACING .
Bevel Box
Seal
- For the output flange
- Remove to replace the bevel box. Refer to BEVEL BOX .
Seal
- Between the transmission and the bevel box, on the left side of the bevel box
- For AWD vehicles
- Replacing. Refer to BEVEL BOX .
Seal
- For the stub shaft on the left side of the bevel box
- For AWD vehicles
- Replacing. Refer to BEVEL BOX .
Left Seal
- Replacing. Refer to LEFT SEAL, REPLACING .
