Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Subframe Alignment Assembly Tool Kit- Locating Pins: T10486/1
If the subframe is removed, the settings on the axle can be changed.
The driving behavior of the vehicle can be influenced by this.
- Secure the exact position of the subframe with the help of four threaded pins.
-- Refer to SUBFRAME, LIFTING WITH SCISSOR LIFT TABLE .
-- Remove the bolts -4-.
-- Remove the bolt -5-.
-- Remove the support plate -3-.
-- Install the Subframe Alignment Assembly Tool Kit- Locating Pins: T10486/1 -A- in the outer hole on the left side of the vehicle from the subframe -1-.
-- Tighten the Subframe Alignment Assembly Tool Kit- Locating Pins: T10486/1 -A- to 20 Nm.
-- Remove the bolts -2-.
-- Remove the screws -6-.
-- Remove the support plate -1-.
-- Install the Subframe Alignment Assembly Tool Kit- Locating Pins: T10486/1 -A- in the outer hole on the right side of the vehicle from the subframe -1-.
-- Tighten the Subframe Alignment Assembly Tool Kit- Locating Pins: T10486/1 -A- to 20 Nm.
-- Remove the bolt -2- on the left side of the vehicle.
-- Insert the Subframe Alignment Assembly Tool Kit- Locating Pins: T10486/1 -A- and tighten to 20 Nm.
-- Remove the bolt -3- on the right side of the vehicle.
-- Insert the Subframe Alignment Assembly Tool Kit- Locating Pins: T10486/1 -A- and tighten to 20 Nm.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
-- Always only remove one Subframe Alignment Assembly Tool Kit- Locating Pins: T10486/1 and replace it with a new bolt.
If the steering wheel is still crooked when performing the road test, then an axle alignment is necessary.
