Striker, Adjusting

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Adjustment Gauge: 3371
The adjustment shown is for the left side of the vehicle as an example.
Requirement
- When adjusting the striker, the vehicle must be resting on its wheels on a level surface.
- The door must engage in the striker without great force.
The striker is correctly installed, when it is closed and:
- The gap dimensions are even.
- The contours align.
- The door is not positioned too far inward or outward.
-- Loosen the bolts -2-.
Tip
More force is needed to adjust the striker when the bolts are loose.
-- Slide the striker -1- in the -direction of arrow A- or in the -direction of the arrow B- to adjust the alignment of the front door to the side panel or to the rear door.
-- Tighten the bolts -2-.
-- Check the gap dimensions using the Gauge - Gap Adjustment: 3371 . Pay attention to the CENTER BODY . when doing this.
-- If the door is not correctly adjusted, loosen the striker and adjust the door. Refer to Door, Adjusting .
