Headliner, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Detach the A-pillar upper trim panels. Refer to A-PILLAR UPPER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Detach the B-pillar upper trim panels. Refer to B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bench seat. Refer to Bench Seat/Single Seat, Removing and Installing .
-- Remove the rear sill trim. Refer to REAR SILL PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the C-pillar trim panels. Refer to C-Pillar Trim Panel, Removing and Installing .
-- Remove the sun visors. Refer to Sun Visor, Removing and Installing .
-- Remove the sun visor center support. Refer to Sun Visor Center Support, Removing and Installing .
-- Remove the Front Interior Lamp -WX1-. Refer to the appropriate service information .
-- Remove the roof grab handle. Refer to Roof Grab Handle, Removing and Installing .
Vehicles with glass panel
-- Open the sunroof shade.
Continuation for all vehicles
-- Release the rear seat backrests and fold them forward.
-- Move the front seats all the way forward and to the lowest position.
-- For the following steps, make sure that the Release Pliers: T10558A are positioned in the center of the clips.
There is a risk of damage due to improper handling.
- Do not kink the headliner.
-- Unclip the clips -2- from the headliner frame -1- using the Release Pliers: T10558A .
-- Keep tension on the headliner -1- in -direction of the arrow-, to prevent that loosened clamps -2- reengage.
Conditions
- The help of a second person is necessary for the following procedure.
-- Hold the headliner -1- in position and unclip the clips -2- in the rear area.
Vehicles with glass panel
-- Unclip the clips -1- all the way around.
Continuation for all vehicles
-- Disconnect the connector.

-- Carefully remove the headliner -1- through the rear lid opening in -direction of the arrow-.
