B-Pillar Upper Trim Panel, Removing And Installing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Omega Clip Tool: T40280
The following information describes the removing and installing on the left side of the vehicle as an example.
-- Free up the B-pillar upper trim panel -1- in the area of the inner door seal.
-- Unclip the side of the B-pillar upper trim panel -1- in the -direction of arrow A- using a commercially available plastic wedge.
-- Remove the B-pillar upper trim panel -1- in the -direction of arrow B-.
-- Remove the front belt end fitting. Refer to Front Belt End Fitting, Removing and Installing .
-- Guide out the seat belt webbing with front belt end fitting from the B-pillar upper trim panel.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
-- Remove any clips remaining in the body using the Omega Clip Tool: T40280 and insert them into the B-pillar upper trim panel for installation.
-- Guide the front seat belt end fitting in through the B-pillar upper trim panel -1-.
-- Position the B-pillar upper trim panel -1- at a slight diagonal angle and insert it in the -direction of arrow A-.
-- Tilt the B-pillar upper trim panel -1- in the -direction of arrow B- to secure it.
-- Make sure that the belt height adjuster works correctly.
-- Make sure that the upper B-pillar trim panel is in the inner door seal molding after installing.
