Overview - Fuel Tank, PASSAT And ARTEON With Fwd

  1. Cap
    • Turn until it clicks into place.
    • Attached to the fuel filler door unit with fastener
    • Refer to CAP SEAL, REPLACING 
  2. Filler Neck
  3. Bolt
    • Quantity: 2
    • Replace after removing
    • 8 Nm +90°
  4. Rubber Buffer
    • Quantity: 4
    • Between the fuel tank and the body
    • Pay attention to proper seating
  5. Guide
  6. Bolt
    • Replace after removing
    • 20 Nm +90°
  7. Fuel Tank
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to the appropriate Service Information .
  8. Heat Shield
    • For the fuel tank
  9. Nuts
    • For the heat shield
  10. Mounting Strap
    • Ensure that the installation position is correct.
    • Mark the direction of travel during removal.
    • Installation position. Refer to Fig 2.
  11. Mounting Strap

  12. Fuel Lines
  13. Fuel Pump Control Module -J538-
  14. Fuel Delivery Unit/Fuel Level Sensor
  15. Ground Connection
    • For the fuel filler neck
    • For discharging electrostatic charge
