Cap Seal, Replacing

NOTE:

The seal must not be replaced for hybrid vehicles and North American Vehicles with gasoline engine.

-- Disengage the loss protection device of the fuel filler door unit.

-- Remove the cap.

-- Pry out the seal -1- using a commercially available plastic wedge.

-- Carefully clean the seal groove and check for damages, for example scratches.

-- Attach the new seal and press it into the seal groove without using tools.

-- Engage the loss protection device on the fuel filler door unit.

-- Install the cap.
