Overview - Brake Booster/Brake Master Cylinder, RHD

The brake master cylinder and brake booster can be replaced independently of one another.

Brake Booster
- Removing and Installing. Refer to BRAKE BOOSTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, RHD VEHICLE .
  The following components are integrated in the brake booster.
  - Brake Pedal Position Sensor -G100-
  - Brake Pedal Position Sensor 2 -G836-
  - Power Supply Sensor 1 -G730-
  - Power Supply Sensor 2 -G731-
  - Brake Booster Voltage Sensor -G822-
  - Brake Booster Temperature Sensor 1 -G838-
  - Brake Booster Temperature Sensor 2 -G839-
  - Brake Booster Motor Position Sensor -G840-
  - Brake Booster Control Module -J539-
  - Electro-Mechanical Brake Booster Motor -V548-
Seal
- For the brake booster
- Replace
- Bonded, only at the factory
- The bonding on the brake booster and bulkhead must not be replaced
Mounting Bracket with Brake Pedal
- Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - BRAKE PEDAL, RHD .
- Brake Pedal, Removing and Installing. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Mounting Bracket, Removing and Installing. Refer to MOUNTING BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, RHD .
Nut
- Always replace if removed.
- 25 Nm
Seal
- Replace
Bolt
- 8 Nm
Heat Shield
Brake Line
- Brake master cylinder/primary piston circuit to hydraulic unit
- with an M12 x 1 thread.
- 14 Nm
Nut
- Always replace if removed.
- 22 Nm
Brake Master Cylinder
- Cannot be serviced. Replace as a complete unit if malfunctioning.
- Removing and Installing. Refer to BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, RHD VEHICLES .
Brake Line
- Brake master cylinder/secondary piston circuit to hydraulic unit
- with an M12 x 1 thread.
- 14 Nm
Plugs
- To install, coat with brake fluid
