Pistons, Removing And Installing: Installing

Assembly is performed in reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.

Piston ring gap offset 120°.

-- Coat the contact surfaces on the bearing shells with oil.

-- Install the connecting rod bearing cap. Pay attention to the installation position  OVERVIEW - PISTONS AND CONNECTING ROD.

-- Install the oil pan. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the cylinder head. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
