Overview - Muffler

NOTE:
After exhaust system installation work, ensure that the system is spaced far enough away from body. If necessary, loosen the double clamp on the front exhaust pipes and align the muffler and exhaust pipe again.
Do not use sealants containing silicone. Traces of silicone components which are sucked into the engine are not burned there and they damage the oxygen sensors.
Replace the self-locking nuts.
Center and Rear Mufflers, Separating. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, DISCONNECTING .
- Clamping Sleeve
- Installation position. Refer to Fig 2.
- Tighten the threaded connections evenly
- 30 Nm
- Center Muffler
- Original equipment as one unit with rear mufflers. If a repair is required, replace each separately
- Exhaust System, Separating. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, DISCONNECTING .
- Retaining Loop
- Replace if damaged
- Bracket
- Bolt
- 20 Nm
- Retaining Loop
- Replace if damaged
- Retaining Loop
- Replace if damaged
- Bracket
- Bolt
- 20 Nm
- Retaining Loop
- Replace if damaged
- Bracket
- Bolt
- 20 Nm
Clamping Sleeve Installation Position
-- Install the clamping sleeve so that the end of the bolt does not extend past the lower edge of the clamping sleeve.
