Exhaust Pipes/Mufflers, Disconnecting

NOTE:

A separating point has been provided in the connecting pipe for removing, installing and individual replacement of the center or rear muffler.

The separating point is marked by an indentation around the circumference of the exhaust pipe.

Procedure

CAUTION:

Risk of injury due to flying metal shavings.

Irritation and injury to skin and eyes possible.

- Wear protective eyewear.

- Wear safety gloves.

-- Separate the exhaust pipe at a right angle at the separating point -arrow- using, for example, the Pneumatic Body Saw:VAS 6780  .

-- When installing position the clamping sleeve at the side markings.

-- Install the clamping sleeve so that the end of the bolt does not extend past the lower edge of the clamping sleeve.

Component Tightening Specification
Clamping Sleeve 30 Nm
