Exhaust Manifold, Removing And Installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Removing

-- Remove the intake manifold upper section. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the coolant pipe from the heat shield -arrows-. Remove the bolts -1- and then remove the heat shield and intake manifold support.

-- Remove the front exhaust pipe at exhaust manifolds -arrows- and slide it back slightly.

NOTE:

The oxygen sensors remain installed.

-- Remove the upper and lower nuts -arrows- on both exhaust manifolds.

-- Pull the exhaust manifold rearward.

Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Coat the stud bolts with hot bolt paste.

Tightening Specifications:
