Fan Shroud, Removing And Installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Removing

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Bring the lock carrier into the service position. Refer to SERVICE POSITION, SETTING AND RESETTING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- for the left and right radiator mount -1-.

-- Disconnect the radiator fan connector -1-. To do this push the retainer -A- in the direction of the arrow and push the release downward.

-- Press the fan shroud left and right locking tabs at the same time -arrow B-, remove the fan shroud upward from the radiator -arrow C-.

-- Push the radiator toward the rear and remove the fan shroud with the fan upward.

-- Cover the radiator with the Protective Mat:VAS 531 003  .

Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal while noting the following:
