Coolant Thermostat, Removing And Installing
Removing
-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
-- Push the coolant hose to the radiator from below.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the coolant connector and coolant hose.
-- Remove the coolant thermostat from the coolant pipe.
Installing:
There must be a metal sleeve -arrow- in the coolant connection. Replace the coolant connection if the metal sleeve is missing.
-- Clean the sealing surface on the seal.
-- Install the coolant thermostat into the coolant pipe.
- Installation position: the edges on coolant thermostat and housing must align -arrows-.
-- Coat the new sealing with coolant and install it on the coolant connector.
-- Install the coolant connector and sealing ring and tighten the screws in a diagonal sequence.
-- Fill the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
