Hood Latch, Adjusting

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Adjustment Gauge:3371 

Conditions

• Do not use the hood latch to center the hood in the direction of -arrow A-.
• The striker must strike in the center in the hood latch. Refer to Striker, Adjusting  .

Tip

The hood can be adjusted in the direction of -arrow B- to the front bumper cover.

-- Loosen the bolts -2- to adjust the hood latch -1- in the direction of -arrow A- or the direction of -arrow B-.

-- Check the gap dimensions using the Gauge - Gap Adjustment:3371  . Refer to WINDSHIELD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING , for this.

-- Apply corrosion protection to the bolts -2-. Refer to the appropriate Service Information.
