Upper Timing Chain Cover, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Replace the seals.

-- Install the cover on the cylinder head the tighten the bolts hand tight. While doing so make sure that the seal lays correctly on the cylinder head.

-- Tighten the bolts -1 through 6- in the sequence shown. For the bolts -3- and -5-, use the Torque Wrench 1783 - 2-10Nm:V.A.G 1783 and Torque Wrench 1783 - Open Jaw - 10mm:V.A.G 1783/1 .

-- Install the Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205- and Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N318-. Refer to Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
