Overview - Timing Chain Cover

- Bolt
- Steel bolts: 9 Nm
- Aluminum bolts: 4 Nm + 45°
- Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N318-
- Removing and Installing. Refer to Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Seals
- To replace the cover must be removed.
- Upper Timing Chain Cover
- Removing and Installing. Refer to TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Seal
- Replace if damaged
- Cap
- Bolt
- Tightening sequence. Refer to Installing .
- 9 Nm
- Seal
- Replace if damaged
- O-Ring
- Replace
- coat with engine oil
- Not Installed
- Engine
- Alignment Pins
- centering the cover
- Lower Timing Chain Cover
- With shaft seal
- Replacing. Refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Shaft Seal
- for the vibration damper
- Replacing. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER SEAL, REPLACING .
- Plugs
- Replace
- Bolt
- Replace
- Tightening sequence. Refer to Installing => Immediately attach the cover and tighten the bolts. .
- O-Ring
- Replace
- Coat with oil before assembly
- Oil Dipstick Tube
- Bolt
- 9 Nm
- Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-
- Removing and Installing. Refer to Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
