Rear Side Window, Removing And Installing, Sedan: Removing

NOTE:

Removing is described only for the left side window. Removing the right side window is derived accordingly from this.

If the window is damaged. Refer to DAMAGED WINDOW GLASS, REMOVING .

CAUTION:

In the window glass cutting area, protect the side panel and roof against paint damage with adhesive tape.

-- Remove the door inner seal molded part on the B-pillar from the body flange near the side window. Refer to INNER DOOR SEAL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SEDAN .

-- Lay the cutting wire -1- under the side window seal in the window glass flange as shown.

-- Secure the ends -x and y- in two : VAG1351/1 .

-- Pull cutting wire forward in the direction of the -arrow A- using light sawing motions and cut through lower adhesive sealing material on the side panel and on the roof frame.

-- Then pull cutting cord through in the direction of the -arrow B- downward through adhesive sealing material on the B-pillar.

NOTE:

Increased counter forces are used at the clip. Refer to -Item ) OVERVIEW - REAR SIDE WINDOW, SEDAN - List Item: Clip positions.

-- Remove window from window opening.
