Backrest Cover And Cushion, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Attach the :VAS6136 on the :VAS6095A .

-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the seat on the :VAS6136 .

-- Remove the backrest adjustment wheel BACKREST ADJUSTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the seat height adjustment handle. Refer to SEAT HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the trim on the door sill side. Refer to SILL-SIDE SEAT TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the trim on the tunnel side. Refer to TUNNEL-SIDE SEAT TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the backrest. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the headrest. Refer to HEADREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Vehicles with Manual Lumbar Support Adjustment

-- Remove the lumbar support adjusting lever -2- using the :3392 .

Continuation for All Vehicles

-- Open the retaining channel -5- in direction of -arrow-.

Cover with Map Pocket

-- Remove the clip -3- from both sides of the back of the backrest frame -4-.

-- Fold up the backrest cover -1- slightly upward.

-- Disengage tension wire -5- on the left and right sides of the backrest frame.

-- Remove the upholstery clips of the cover -1- alternately from the cushion -4- and unclip the clips for the cover -1- from the mounts in the cushion -2- using a small screwdriver.

-- Fold the cover -1- up farther and remove it from the cushion -3-.

-- Push the cushion -3- over both headrest guides and remove it from the backrest frame.

Vehicles With Seat Heating

NOTE:

If, on a vehicle with seat heating, the cushion -1- or the backrest heating element -2- is faulty, always replace both components.
