Spoiler, Removing And Installing, Sedan: Installing

WARNING:

Make sure that the correct materials are being used during the corresponding work steps.

-- Observe the installation instructions for double-sided tape. Refer to Two Sided Tape, Installation Instructions .

-- Prepare the rear spoiler and rear lid for bonding Bonding Rear Spoiler and Rear Lid, Preparing .

-- Apply the one-part window adhesive to the rear spoiler with the :VAG1628 -1-.

-- Remove the protective film from the left and right of the double sided adhesive tape -2- on the rear spoiler.

-- Attach the rear spoiler to the rear lid with the help of a second technician and align it.

-- Press the rear spoiler onto the rear lid.

-- Open the rear lid and install the nuts (6 pieces).

Nut tightening specification: 6 Nm

-- Install the rear lid lower trim panel. Refer to REAR LID LOWER TRIM PANEL (CONVERTIBLE) .

Observe the minimum curing time. Refer to MINIMUM CURING TIMES FOR BONDED WINDOWS .
