Latch, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Clip the release cable and the bracket into the rear lid latch.

-- Slide the latch so enough into the lock carrier until the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- -1- can be installed.

-- Insert the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- -1- in the latch -2-.

-- Slide the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- in the direction of the -arrow a- until the hooks -arrow b- engage.

-- Slide the latch fully into the lock carrier.

-- Install the bolts -1- for the latch -2- for the engine compartment side.

-- Install the release cable in the coupling. Refer to RELEASE CABLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Adjust the latch. Refer to Latch, Adjusting .

• Before closing the hood, perform a function test of the hood release lever and the release cable.
