Overview - Steering Gear, Electro-Mechanical Steering Gear, RHD: Notes

CAUTION:
If the universal joint is separated from the electro-mechanical steering gear, the following work cannot be performed:
- Switching on the ignition
- Turning the steering gear
- Turning the steering column.
These points must be observed since performing these actions could cause irreparable damage.

- Replace after removing.
- 30 Nm
- Wire
- Heat Shield
- Bolt
- Self-tapping
- 6 Nm
- Power Steering Gear
- with Power Steering Control Module -J500-
- with Electromechanical Power Steering Motor -V187-
- with Steering Torque Sensor -G269-
- with Steering Angle Sensor -G85-
- Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" . Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Removing and installing. Refer to STEERING GEAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ELECTRO-MECHANICAL STEERING GEAR, RHD VEHICLE
- Left Wheel Bearing Housing
- Nut
- M12 x 1.5
- Self-locking
- Replace after removing.
- 20 Nm + 90°
- Bolt
- Replace after removing.
- 50 Nm + 90°
- Note the tightening sequence. Refer to Steering Gear On Subframe Tightening Sequence .
- Subframe
- Right Wheel Bearing Housing
