Engine and Gearbox Jack: VAS6931
Locating Pins: T10096
Subframe Locking Pin (2 pc.): T10452

CAUTION:

The : T10096 and : T10452 have different diameters.

The color differentiates them:

: T10096 are BLACK.
The : T10452 are SILVER.

To secure the subframe, the : T10452 must be screwed in at positions -3 and 4-.

NOTE:

: T10452 may only be tightened to a maximum of 20 Nm, otherwise the threads on the locking pins will be damaged.

The : T10096 must be screwed in one after the other at positions -1 and 2-.

The : T10096 may only be tightened to a maximum of 20 Nm, otherwise the threads of the locating pins will be damaged.

: T10452 , Installing

-- Remove the front bolt -3-.

-- Install the : T10452 -1- and tighten it to 20 Nm.

CAUTION:

The : T10452 are SILVER.

-- Remove the front bolt -4-.

-- Install the : T10452 and tighten it to 20 Nm.

: T10096 , Installing

-- Remove the rear bolt -1-.

-- Remove the left underbody trim panel. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY TRIM PANELS .

-- Remove the left subframe brace -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -2 and 3- and the subframe brace -1-.

Continuation for All Vehicles

-- Install the : T10096 -1- and tighten it to 20 Nm.

-- Remove the rear bolt -2-.

-- Remove the right underbody trim panel. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY TRIM PANELS .

-- Remove the right subframe brace -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -2 and 3- and the subframe brace -1-.

Continuation for All Vehicles

-- Install the : T10096 and tighten to 20 Nm.

The position of front axle is now secured.

Continue with removing the subframe without the steering gear. Refer to SUBFRAME WITHOUT STEERING GEAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING => Remove the steering gear bolts -9 and 10-. .

Continue with removing the subframe with the hydraulic steering gear. Refer to Removing => Place the : VAS6931 -1- under the subframe. .

Continue with removing the subframe with the electro-mechanical steering gear. Refer to Removing => Place the : VAS6931 -1- under the subframe. .

Continue with removing the stabilizer bar. Refer to Removing => Remove the stabilizer bar from the subframe -7 and 8- .

Continue with Power Steering Gear, Removing and installing . Refer to STEERING GEAR, HYDRAULIC STEERING GEAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Remove the : T10096 and the : T10452 .

Remove the : T10096 and : T10452 in reverse order of installation.

-- Install the subframe brace -1-. Refer to SUBFRAME BRACE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the right and left underbody trim panels. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY TRIM PANELS .

Tightening Specifications
