Headliner, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- If equipped, open the panorama sliding/tilting sunroof and the sun shade.
-- Switch off the ignition.
Vehicles with Interior Rearview Mirror and Rain Sensor
-- Remove the interior rearview mirror with the cable guide. Refer to INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, RAIN SENSOR .
Continuation for All Vehicles
-- Remove the lamps and switches inside the headliner. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - ROOF TRIM PANEL LAMPS .
-- Remove the left and right A-pillar upper trim panel. Refer to A-PILLAR TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A-PILLAR UPPER TRIM, SEDAN .
-- Loosen the left and right B-pillar upper trim B-PILLAR TRIM, DETACHING AND ATTACHING .
-- Remove the left and right C-pillar trim panel. Refer to C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the rear seat backrest. Refer to REAR SEAT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SEDAN .
-- Remove the left and right sun visors and center supports. Refer to SUN VISOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the left and right grab handles (roof). Refer to ROOF GRAB HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Carefully loosen the clips -4- from the rear roof crossmember -3-.
-- Unhook the clips -5- from the front roof crossmember -2-.
The outer mounting tabs for the clips -5- are destroyed when installed. The screws for the sun visor center supports also secure the roof frame.
Always replace the clips -5-.
-- Fold the driver seat and front passenger seat backrests toward the front.
-- Detach the headliner -1- from the door seal molding and then lower it.
Vehicles with Panorama Sliding/Tilting Sunroof
-- Slide the : T10039/1 between the frame -6- and the headliner -1-.
-- Disconnect the front and side frames -6- from the headliner -1- using the : T10039 .
-- Close the sun shade.
-- Disconnect the rear frames -6- from the headliner -1- using the : T10039 .
-- Carefully loosen the clips -4- from the rear roof crossmember -3-.
-- Unhook the clips -5- from the front roof crossmember -2-.
The outer mounting tabs for the clips -5- are destroyed when installed. The screws for the sun visor center supports also secure the roof frame.
Always replace the clips -5-.
-- Fold the driver seat and front passenger seat backrests toward the front.
-- Detach the headliner -1- from the door seal molding and then lower it.
-- Carefully remove the headliner through the opening in the rear lid and out of the vehicle.
