Instrument Panel, Aligning In Vehicle

NOTE:

Instrument panel can be aligned in height and diagonally to the direction of travel.

Removing 

-- Remove the plenum chamber cover. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Only loosen the bolt -1- (2-3 turns).

-- Remove the instrument panel cover on each side. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL CROSSMEMBER .

-- Remove the bolt -1- on both sides.

-- Remove the trim on both sides -2- from the center console.

-- Only loosen the bolts -1 and 2- (2-3 turns).

-- Loosen the nuts -1- and the nut -4- 2-3 turns.

Instrument Panel Height, Aligning 

NOTE:

The instrument panel height -3- is set using eccentric screws -2 and 5-.

In the zero position, the longer eccentric surface faces toward outside of vehicle.

The eccentric must not be turned more than ±90° out of zero position.

-- Adjust the height of the instrument panel -3- using the eccentric screws -2 and 5-.

Instrument Panel Width, Aligning 

-- Push the instrument panel -3- into the desired position.

-- After aligning the instrument panel inside the vehicle, tighten it to the tightening specification.

Installation of removed components is in reverse order of removal.

Tightening Specifications 

Component Tightening Specification
Bolts/nuts for securing the instrument panel 20 Nm
Bolt for footwell trim 1.5 Nm
