Clutch Slave Cylinder With Release Bearing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tighten the clutch slave cylinder with release bearing bolts only in small increments. Otherwise, there is the danger that the tabs for the bolts could break off.

-- Tighten the clutch slave cylinder with release bearing bolts to specification. Refer to -item 4- in CLUTCH RELEASE MECHANISM OVERVIEW .

-- Check the seal/O-ring -3- for the clutch slave cylinder for damage.

-- Push the bleeder assembly -4- onto the clutch slave cylinder -1- until the clip -2- audibly engages.

-- To check, pull on the bleeder assembly.

-- Install the transmission. Refer to TRANSMISSION, INSTALLING .

-- Bleed the clutch system. Refer to CLUTCH SYSTEM, BLEEDING .
