Coolant Thermostat: Installing

Tightening specifications, refer to COOLANT PUMP/THERMOSTAT OVERVIEW .

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Replace gaskets and O-rings.

-- Clean the O-ring sealing surface.

-- Coat the O-ring with coolant.

-- Install the thermostat -4- into the housing -5- for the coolant pump and move it slightly forward -arrow-.

-- Carefully mount the connecting piece -3- ; while doing so, insert the centering pin -2- into the guide -1-.
