Removal And Installation: E-Box

Removal 

-- Disconnect the Battery -A-, refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Press the catches in direction of the -arrow- and remove the cover from the E-box -2-.

-- Disconnect the wires -2-.

-- Remove the wires from the connecting pins.

-- Press the tabs -arrows- on the relay and fuse panel -1-.

-- Remove the relay and fuse panel -1- from the E-box.

-- Remove the Engine Control Module -J623- -2- and bracket -1- off the E-box. To do this, first remove the shear bolts -arrows-.

Engine Control Module -J623-, removal and installation, refer to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE or ENGINE CONTROL MODULE -J623- .

-- Remove the bolt -2- on the E-Box -3-.

-- Remove the nuts -1-.

-- Remove the E-box -3- from the vehicle.

Installation 

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Then check whether the cover -2- of the E-box is correctly engaged.

-- Connect the Battery -A-, refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

Tightening Specifications 

• Refer to RELAY PANELS, FUSE PANELS AND E-BOX LOCATION OVERVIEW .
