Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side: Removing

-- Follow repair instructions. Refer to GENERAL INFORMATION .

-- Remove the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT .

-- Secure the crankshaft. Refer to CRANKSHAFT, LOCKING .

-- Remove the belt pulley from the crankshaft.

-- Remove the tensioner -1-. Refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER, A/C COMPRESSOR DRIVE .

-- Remove the bolts -2-.

-- Beginning at the alignment sleeves -arrows-, remove the sealing flange -1- with a screwdriver -A-.

-- Use the Trim Removal Wedge 3409 to support the screwdriver and do not damage the sealing surface on the cylinder block.

The sealing flange will be damaged when removing.

-- Press off sealing flange completely.

NOTE:

After removing sealing flange, clean Trim Removal Wedge3409 which is intended for the removal of interior equipment parts.
