Auxiliary Components Bracket: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Note the different bolt lengths.

-- Mount the subassembly bracket and then install the bolts -5-.

-- Tighten the new bolt in three steps in the following sequence: -1 through 6-

-- Tighten bolts by hand.

-- Tighten the bolts to 20 Nm.

-- Tighten the bolts an additional 90°.

-- Install the engine mount. Refer to ENGINE MOUNT .

-- Install the generator. Refer to Generator -C- .

-- Install the A/C compressor to the auxiliary components bracket. Refer to A/C COMPRESSOR .

-- Install the ribbed belt tensioning damper (generator, power steering pump and coolant pump). Refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER, DRIVE GENERATOR, PUMP

-- Install the ribbed belt tensioner (A/C compressor). Refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER, A/C COMPRESSOR DRIVE

-- Attach the power steering pump to the auxiliary components bracket. Refer to POWER STEERING HYDRAULICS .

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging due to reversed running direction on a used ribbed belt:

Before removing ribbed belt, marking running direction with chalk or felt-tip pen for reinstallation later.

-- Install ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT

Idler roller
Belt pulley - air conditioning compressor

NOTE:

Remove the Adapter 10 - 222 A /7 from the cylinder block -illustration-.
