Muffler Overview

From Exhaust Manifold
- Removing and installing, refer to EXHAUST MANIFOLD OVERVIEW
Front Exhaust Pipe
- Overview, refer to EMISSIONS CONTROL OVERVIEW
Bolts
- 23 Nm
Oxygen Sensor in Bank 1 Center Three Way Catalytic Converter -G465-
- 55 Nm
- Removing and installing with a Ring Spanner Set for Oxygen Sensor 3337
- Coat the threads on the new heated oxygen sensors with assembly paste.
- When using an oxygen sensor once again, only use Hot Bolt Paste G 052 112 A3 to grease the thread; do not let paste get onto slits of oxygen sensor body
- If sealing ring is leaking cut open and replace.
Oxygen Sensor after Three Way Catalytic Converter -G130-
- 55 Nm
- Removing and installing with a Ring Spanner Set for Oxygen Sensor 3337
- Coat the threads on the new heated oxygen sensors with assembly paste.
- When using an oxygen sensor once again, only use Hot Bolt Paste G 052 112 A3 to grease the thread; do not let paste get onto slits of oxygen sensor body
- If sealing ring is leaking cut open and replace.
Repair - Clamping Sleeve
- For individual replacement of center and rear mufflers
- Installed position, refer to MUFFLER
- Tighten bolts evenly
Front Tunnel Bridge
- Pay attention to the installed position.
- Mark them if necessary
Nut
- 20 Nm
Suspended Mount
- Replace if damaged
Center Muffler
- Original equipment as one unit with rear muffler. For repairs, replace each separately
- Align the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
- Exhaust system, separating, refer to MUFFLER .
Bolt
- 23 Nm
Suspended Mount
- Replace if damaged
Rear Muffler
- Original equipment as one unit with center muffler. For repairs, replace each separately
- Align the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
- Exhaust system, separating, refer to MUFFLER .
Left Suspended Mount for Rear Muffler
Rear Tunnel Bridge
- Pay attention to the installed position.
- Mark them if necessary
Tunnel Exit Suspended Mount
- 23 Nm
- Install the reservoir strap on the right threaded connector point.
