Hood Latch: Installing

-- Clip the release cable and the mount into the hood latch.

-- Slide the hood latch so far into the lock carrier until the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- -1- can be installed.

-- Insert the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- -1- in the hood latch -2-.

-- Slide the Engine Hood Contact Switch -F266- in the direction of the -arrow a- until the hooks -arrow b- engage.

-- Slide the hood latch fully into the lock carrier.

-- Install the bolts -1- for the hood latch -2- for the engine compartment side.

-- Install the release cable in the coupling, refer to HOOD RELEASE CABLE COUPLING, DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING .

-- Adjust the hood latch, refer to HOOD LATCH, ADJUSTING .

Before closing the hood, make sure the hood release lever and the release cable are working correctly.
