High Pressure Pump: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Place the hub -arrow- on the high pressure pump shaft.

• The fitting key on the high pressure pump shaft must engage in the groove on the hub.

-- Place the high pressure pump toothed belt gear on the hub.

• There must be no oil on the contact surface between the counterholder and the toothed belt sprocket.

-- Install the nuts -arrow- on the high pressure pump shaft threaded connections.

-- Mount he counterholder on the toothed belt sprocket and tighten the nut -arrow- hand tight.

-- Turn the high pressure pump toothed belt gear with the Counterhold - Camshaft Gear T10051 until it can be secured using the Locking Pin T10492.

-- to do this place the Locking Pin T10492 in the hub prong -2- and the rear hole -1- in the auxiliary components bracket.

-- Loosen the nut -arrow- again.

• It must still be possible to rotate the high pressure pump toothed belt gear and it must not tip.

-- Install the toothed belt, refer to, refer to TOOTHED BELT .

-- Install the high pressure line, refer to HIGH PRESSURE LINE, INSTALLING .

-- After replacing the high pressure pump adapt the adaptation values in "Guided Functions" Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

• Tightening specification, refer to OVERVIEW - HIGH PRESSURE PUMP .
