Overview - High Pressure Pump

- Auxiliary Components Bracket
- Removing and installing, refer to AUXILIARY COMPONENTS BRACKET .
- Bolt
- short bolt 20 Nm + 45° turn
- long bolt 20 Nm + 180° turn
- Quantity: 3
- Different lengths
- Replace after removing
- Tightening specification:
- High Pressure Pump Toothed Belt Sprocket
- Nut
- 95 Nm
- Loosen and tighten with the Counterhold - Camshaft Gear T10475
- Hub
- Remove with the Puller T10489
- High Pressure Pump
- With Fuel Metering Valve - N290- (not open)
- Removing and installing, refer to HIGH PRESSURE PUMP .CAUTION:
Letting the high pressure pump run dry will damage it.
- If the high pressure fuel pump is removed or replaced, then the fuel system must be filled/bleed before the first engine start, refer to FUEL SYSTEM, FILLING/BLEEDING .
- After replacing adapt the adaptation values in "Guided Functions" Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Fuel Supply Hose
- Fuel Return Hose
- High Pressure Line
- Between the high pressure reservoir (rail) and the high pressure pump.
- Removing, refer to HIGH PRESSURE LINE BETWEEN THE HIGH PRESSURE RESERVOIR (RAIL) AND THE HIGH PRESSURE PUMP, REMOVING .
- Read and follow all instructions on installing the high pressure lines, refer to HIGH PRESSURE LINE, INSTALLING .
