Clutch End Cover, Removing And Installing: Notes

The clutch cover seals the transmission toward the outside. A locking ring holds the clutch cover is place. Remove the locking ring and pry out the clutch cover. Always replace the clutch cover and the locking ring. Never use a hammer to install the clutch cover and never lubricate the center seal or touch it. If this happens, the clutch end cover will certainly leak!

The transmission must be removed in order to work on the clutch cover.

-- Remove the transmission. Refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Secure the transmission on the assembly stand. Refer to SECURING ON ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HOLDER .
