Control Valve From The Camshaft Adjuster: Removing

-- Remove the noise insulation, refer to NOISE INSULATION OVERVIEW .

-- Remove the upper toothed belt guard, refer to Removing .

-- Turn the crankshaft at the toothed belt gear bolt until the camshaft toothed belt gear is at "Top Dead Center (TDC)".

-- Secure the camshaft hub with the Diesel Injection Pump Locking Pin 3359 by inserting the pin in the fork on the drive plate -2- and in the hole behind it -1- in the cylinder head.

-- Disconnect cylinder 1 fuel injector connector -2-.

-- Release and remove the sealing plug -1- from the cylinder head cover by turning it to the left.

-- Secure the intake camshaft with the Locking Pin T10492, while doing so pay attention to the following:

Cylinder head cover -1- installed:

• The distance -a- is approximately 1 mm.

• The groove -1- on the Locking Pin T10492 must be flush with the camshaft housing -2-.

-- Remove the air filter housing, refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING .

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -1- and the Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 - N205-.

-- Remove the control valve -2-.
