Intake Manifold: Removing

-- Remove the front upper coolant pipes, refer to FRONT UPPER COOLANT PIPE .

-- Remove the high pressure line, refer to Removing .

-- Remove the air filter housing, refer to Removing .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Loosen the clamp -2-, and remove the air guide pipe -1-.

-- Disconnect the connector -4-.

CAUTION:

Danger of malfunction caused by dirt.

Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions, refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Loosen the clamps -1- to -2- and remove the fuel hoses.

-- Remove bolts -3- and lay the fuel hoses toward the rear.

-- Open the retainer -arrow- and remove the vacuum hose -1-.

-- Remove the screw -3- and the vacuum hose -2-.

-- Remove the fan shroud, refer to FAN SHROUD WITH COOLANT FAN .

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -2-.

-- Disconnect the connectors and free them up:

for Charge Air Temperature Sensor after Charge Air Cooler - G811-

for Charge Air Pressure Sensor -G31-

for Intake Air Temperature Sensor -G42-

for the Throttle Valve Control Module - J338-

-- Remove the bolts -2, and 7-, and remove the coolant hose -6-.

-- Remove the bolt -1- for the oil dipstick guide tube.

-- Remove the nut -5- and the bracket -6-, from the double bolt -4-.

-- Loosen the bolts -4 and 7-.

-- Remove the bolts -2, 3- for the intake manifold bracket.

-- Remove the bolts -10 through 1- with the Socket bit XZN 10 T10501 and remove the intake manifold with charge air cooler.
