Overview - Fuel Tank, Convertible

Cap
- Replace if damaged.
Bolt
- 1.5 Nm
Ground Connection
- Make sure it is secure
Bolt
- 11 Nm
Rivet
Shield
- Riveted to lower clamp at factory
- If replacing the fuel tank, position the protective plate on the filler tube and rivet the clamp. The holes in the protective plate must align with the holes on the filler tube.
Wiring Guide
- For the ABS line
- Clipped to the shield
Bolt
- 25 Nm
- Replace after removing
Fuel Tank
- Draining. Refer to FUEL TANK, DRAINING .
- Removing and installing. Refer to FUEL TANK, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Lock Washer
Heat Shield
Mounting Strap
- Pay attention to the installed position.
Suspended Mount
- For exhaust system
Seal
- Replace if damaged.
- Install the dry seal into the opening in the fuel tank
- Moisten with fuel only when installing flange
Fuel Delivery Unit
- Fuel Delivery Unit, Removing and Installing, refer to FUEL DELIVERY UNIT/FUEL LEVEL SENSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Fuel Level Sensor -G-, Removing and Installing. Refer to FUEL LEVEL SENSOR -G-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Locking Ring
- 110 Nm
- Make sure it is secure
- Remove and install with the Wrench - Fuel Sending Unit T10202.
Fuel Supply Line
- Black
- Attached to the side of the fuel tank
- Make sure it is secure
- To disconnect, press release button on the connection piece.
Fuel Return Line
- Blue
- Attached to the side of the fuel tank
- Make sure it is secure
- To disconnect, press release button on the connection piece.
Fuel Filler Door Unit
- With rubber cup
- Removing and installing, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Ventilation
- Pay attention to the position of the grommet when installing the fuel tank.
- Refer to Fig 2

Pay attention to the position of the grommet -2- when installing the fuel tank -1-.

The angle -α- must be 60°.
