Engine Bracket: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

CAUTION: Always use the correct tightening sequence and specifications for the engine bracket bolts. Otherwise tension could develop in the engine bracket and break it.

-- Install the engine bracket from above.

NOTE: The bolt -1- can be reached through an opening in the wheel housing. If necessary, lift or lower the engine with the spindle for the Engine Support Bridge 10 - 222 A to install the bolts -2- and -3-.

-- First by hand, tighten the bolts in the sequence -1-, -2- and -3 -.

Tighten the bolts in the sequence -1-, -2- and -3 -.

NOTE: Replace the bolts for the engine support.

-- Tighten the bolts in three steps and in the sequence shown:

Stage	Bolts	Tightening specification/rotation angle
1.	-1- through -3-	7 Nm
2.	-1- through -3-	40 Nm
3.	-1- through -3-	Tighten 180° additional turn

-- Then tighten the bolts in that sequence to the tightening specification, refer to TOOTHED BELT OVERVIEW => List Item:Bolt .

-- Install the engine subframe mount and then tighten the bolts -A- followed by -C-, refer to ASSEMBLY MOUNTS OVERVIEW .

-- Use the spindle to bring the engine bracket into contact with the subframe mount.

-- Position bolts -B- and tighten, refer to ASSEMBLY MOUNTS OVERVIEW .

Make sure the fuel hoses are secure.
Do not interchange supply and return lines (return line blue or with blue markings, supply line black).
