2. Seal
   • Replace
   • Installing Fig 2.
3. Securing Clamp
   • Replace
   • Installation position Fig 3.
   • 7 Nm
4. Exhaust Door Control Unit -J883-
   • Pay attention to the installed position.
5. Reduction Catalytic Converter
   • Exhaust System, Checking for Leaks
6. Front Muffler
7. Clamping Sleeve
   • Installation position Fig 4.
   • Align the exhaust system free of stress. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
   • Tighten bolts evenly
8. Nut
   • 23 Nm

-- Insert the seal -2- and the angled tab -B- into the notch -A- on the NOx reservoir or reduction catalytic converter -1-.

-- Insert the Exhaust Flap Manifold -3- with the retaining tab -C- in the notch -A-.

-- Insert new securing clamps so that the clamping bolt is positioned opposite the housing for the exhaust door control unit and the angle -45° ± 10°- is fixed.

-- Install clamping sleeve so that bolt end does not project beyond lower edge of clamping sleeve -arrow-.

• Threaded connection points toward the right.
• Tighten the threaded connections equally to 23 Nm.
