Transmission Fluid Pan, Removing And Installing: Installing: Notes

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

NOTE:

Replace the transmission fluid pan gasket and bolts.

-- Remove any oil or grease from the sealing surfaces.

-- Replace the O-rings on the connector for the DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743- and coat with transmission fluid.

-- Install the transmission fluid pan -A- with the transmission fluid pan gasket and tighten. Refer to Tightening Specification and Tightening Sequence for Transmission Fluid Pan A. .

Connect the connector -A- from the DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743- as follows.

-- The arrow -D- on the DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743- -B- must line up with the connector -A- as well as with the tab -C-.

-- Connect the connector -A- carefully all the way and then turn the lock >>clockwise<< in the direction of -arrow-.

-- Attach the cable bracket to the oil pan -arrows- (two M6 nuts). Refer to TRANSMISSION TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

-- Install the connecting hose between the charge air cooler and the charge air pipe. Refer to CHARGE AIR SYSTEM [For engine(s) CNSB, CNSA, CXBB, CXBA, CXCB, CXCA] or CHARGE AIR SYSTEM [For engine(s) CRUA] .
